U.S.S. Tyche, another view

as you can see, the ship is mostly a kit-bash of the Enterprise-B. thing is, tho, that this "kit-bash" is taken from the original CG model that ILM built for "Generations".

that being the case, it still took a fair amount of time to move and reconstruct the b-spline patches into this ship model.

i do look back and cringe a little: the font for the lettering is all wrong, but the bluish tinge was necessary for ILM's comping system at the time. they would have also added the glow for the nacelles and impulse drive, and do a pass for the lighted windows.
